We used it in our new build. 18 gauge is more than enough for us and kept the price reasonable. The one catch: stainless shows water spots if you don't wipe it down - normal, but worth knowing.

A year and a half in and I'm not thrilled. At 10 inches it's really deep - I feel it in my back when reaching the bottom. Just not the look we were going for - it looked different in our space than I imagined. Cost was a bit more than I wanted to spend for 18 gauge. Shows the odd water spot like any stainless, but a quick wipe takes care of it. Not the right sink for us.

Stainless steel does not rust in normal use.
